blog comments allowed again

Well, I thought I would try again as I have now applied some mods to the intermorphic forum. There should help cut down on the spam there. Maybe it will cut down on those getting here, too!

blog and spam

Posted by Tim Cole on 13th July 2007

I am sorry to say I have now dissallowed commenting on my blogs. This is until how I can figure out how better to reduce the fast growing burden of removing registering spammers (WordPress has been GREAT at filtering out spam comments, but it seems it is not so good at filtering out how to prevent spammers registering). If anyhow has any good ideas, please let us know (see my colartz.com contact page).

The sad thing about it was that the spammers were real people, as they were registering manually. They had particular fascination with pharmaceutical drugs and various means of pro-creation, but I have no idea they felt it necessary to waste their time with my blog, and the time of its readers.

As a result if this (and because we have now closed the intermorphic forums for a similar reason), I have temporarily moved back my MicroBR review details to this blog (see here).

Thanks for your patience…
